percussions
One of my core hobbies is to play (contemporary classical) music, especially percussions. I, before anything, enjoy playing solo, but I also like to play chamber music and in orchestras. Not a lot of recordings of me playing are available online, but here is a short-list of some solo pieces I've played (among others) in at least one concert:
- Marimba: Merlin (Andrew Thomas, 1985) ; One Study One Summary (John Psathas, 2005) ; Khan Variations (Alejandro Viñao, 2001) ; Niflheim (Casba Zoltán Marján, 2010)
- Vibraphone: Hard-boiled Capitalism (Ben Wahlund, 2008) ; Links & Links n°5 (Stuart Smith, 1974) ; Open End (Benjamin Hackbarth, 2007)
- Timpani: Planet Damnation (John Psathas, 2012)
- Snare drum: Asventuras (Alexej Gerassimez, 2011) ; Meditation n°1 & n°2 (Casey Cangelosi, 2011, 2017) ; Kerberos (Sydney Hodkinson, 1990)
- Other: Time & Money, mvt. 1 (Pierre Jodlowski, 2006) ; Side by Side (Michio Kitazume, 1993) ; Rebonds B (Iannis Xenakis, 1987-89)
I also play in a percussion quatuor, named Tacet (more information about this will hopefully be revealed later in 2026).
I also compose, quasi-exclusively for percussions.
